Two Men Accused for Prison Murder of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins
A pair of suspects stand accused of murder after the incarceration fatality of one-time Lostprophets vocalist and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins.
Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43 have both been charged with murder and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by police authorities.
Watkins, 48 years old, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after confessing to numerous sex crimes including the attempted rape of a baby.
Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a substantial collection of electronic devices including computers, phones and drives were taken as evidence.
