Heroic Train Employee Endures Severe Injuries Amid Mass Stabbing Attack on High-Speed Service

A valiant train employee who intervened to protect passengers during a mass knife attack on a express train has suffered life-threatening wounds, police stated on Sunday.

CCTV footage allegedly shows the staff member attempting to stop the assailant as the train traveled between a city and Huntingdon in the county. Witnesses recounted a terrifying 14-minute duration after the train left Peterborough, with injured passengers fleeing through compartments.

The individual, a 32-year-old British national from Peterborough, is in detention for questioning. Police announced a major event on the 6:25 pm service from Peterborough to King's Cross in central London.

The event on Saturday night led to 11 people being treated in hospital after the train made an unscheduled stop at the station in Huntingdon. Five people have since been discharged from hospital.
