Aircraft Twirls Wildly into Palm Trees at Frequented Southern California Beach
An aircraft soaring over a popular southern California shoreline unexpectedly began spiraling out of control, ultimately descending rapidly and crashing into a row of palm fronds as spectators watched.
Videos uploaded on social media depict the helicopter commencing to spiral near the beach then descending in the direction of the edge of the shore, where it ends up lodged among palms and a steps near the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Update
Emergency responders reported five people were taken to hospital comprising two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” after the crash on Saturday.
Three persons on the street were injured. Information on their condition were still under review.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation.
